Accommodations
Once you have decided upon a destination, we will suggest nearby accommodations. Only those in or near birding hotspots are listed. (Or the closest accommodation available if none is nearby.) Accommodations with staff that are knowledgeable about the local birds get preference. Accommodations
Guides and Guide Books
We will also suggest guides and guidebooks for your area. With the aid of a local guide, you will find more birds than those you can find on your own. Guides – Guide Books
Reviews
Tell everyone what you think of any hotspot or accommodation. Anyone can post a comment but only members can post a review.
Members
Become a member to leave reviews and enter polls. Members will also see additional pages not available to non-members. Membership is free. See the members page for details.
Members are encouraged to suggest new hotspots and accommodations based on their travel experience. Do you know of a great birding location that is not listed on Birdtripper? Or have additional information about one that is listed? If so, let us know.
What Birdtripper is Not
- It is not a place for bird identification. There are other websites for that.
- It is not a photo gallery to display your photos. However, two or three photos are helpful when suggesting a new location, trip or accommodation.
- It is not for posting lengthy trip reports and total lists of every bird you have seen there. However, members are encouraged to suggest information and write a brief report of the highlights of the hotspot or accommodation.
- It is not a general travel guide for choosing a hotel. Only accommodations near birding hotspots or accommodations that cater to birders are listed.
