Bintang Bolong Lodge

This lodge is located at Bintang, on the Bitang Bolon, which is a tributary of the Gambia River. Take the South Bank Road, about 50 km from Banjul, turn north at Killy,
The lodge consists of six rustic cabins with thatched roofs on the waterfront and eight inland cabins. Located in a mangrove forest, the cabins are built on stilts because the area will flood at high tide. At low tide, you can see the critters that live in the mud, such as crabs and mudskippers.
The lodge offers several tours, including birdwatching and a river boat tour, where you can see many birds and other wildlife. There is also a unique boat tour through the flooded mangrove forest at high tide, where you can see many birds as well as monkeys and sea otters.
Due to wildlife, dogs are not allowed at the lodge.
The prices are very low. The waterfront cabins cost 3,200 Dalasi ($43.25 USD), and the inland cabins are only 2,000 Dalasi ($27.00).
